Challenge #186 - Anything Goes/Family Friendly

Welcome back, creative friends!  First, I want to apologize to all of our friends who play along via Splitcoast Stampers.  I haven't been able to sign on for quite some time, and haven't been able to leave comments for you.  Please know that it's not because I'm not trying.  I greatly appreciate EVERY entry we receive, and I thank God for you taking the time to share your talents with us.  Our Design Team loves stopping by your blogs to see your beautiful entries.  Thanks for playing along with us.  Also, please welcome Natalie Houston as our newest full-time Design Team Member, and Jennifer Dunn as our June Guest Designer.  They would love to have you stop by their blogs to say hello, and we're sure you will be blessed by their beautiful art.

This week, our word art/scripture file is from Hebrews 13:8, and it tells us that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever."  I know that the Jehovah's Witnesses have doctrine that changes "as the light gets brighter", (their doctrine has completely flip-flopped over the years, and will continue to change); and I also know that another popular "religion" has doctrine that changes as the words of living "prophets" supersede the past words of dead "prophets".  In fact, this "religion" claims that "it is loath to proclaim doctrine", and that's simply because they don't want to be bound to anything permanently.  They will change  doctrine with the times, and allow people to hear what they want to hear, or what society tells us is accepting, popular and compassionate.  Even some Christians claim that true Biblical doctrine is outdated, and that our thoughts and beliefs need to change with the times.  Well, DON'T BELIEVE IT!  Jesus Christ, God the Father, IS the Word, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  His principles, doctrines and authority are NEVER-CHANGING.  Living a righteous life will NEVER be out-dated.   It's not uncool, old fashioned, or closed minded to believe on the unchanging Word of God.  It's actually a huge blessing to know that God's Word, and our Lord in general, will NEVER change.  We don't have to keep up with the changing trends.  His Word will stand FOREVER, and we can count on it to always be the same.  The Bible clearly tells us what is sin.  So, if something was originally deemed wrong in the sight of our perfect God, it will always be wrong in His eyes.  What's right and wrong doesn't change just because society wants it to.  Our standards need to be the very same - unchanging!  Does that mean that we (as Christians) think we're better than anyone else?  MOST CERTAINLY NOT!  It simply means that we understand and accept all sin as being wrong; and that we recognize our need for Jesus Christ, the ONLY perfect and worthy payment for our sins.  I know for sure that I'm FAR from perfect, and that I sin a lot more than I'd care to admit.  But I also know that I am accountable for ALL my sin, and that if Jesus Christ hadn't paid the price, by giving His perfect life as a sacrifice on the cross, I couldn't be forgiven.  PRAISE GOD that His doctrine will NEVER change.  In this crazy world where so many things are uncertain, it's great to know that the doctrine of Jesus Christ is the ONE THING we can always count on to never change.  He is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER!

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Here's this week's scripture/word art file.
We hope it will be a blessing to you.

Wow, What a devotion for today!! Karen did you hear me Amening from MA? Thank you for writing this statement on the Immutability of God. We live in a day where the world wants us to change everything from our nail color to our gender and totally disregard The Plan Purpose and Authority of the Living God. What a scary day and age we live in for those who do not live and stand for biblical truth. Surely these must be the end days in which mankind has lost it's ability to discern good from evil. Thank you Word Art Wednesday Team for once again bringing us Meat and Manna and helping us to send the WORD of life around the world on paper and in our blogs and emails. My prayers are with you all!
